Our Team

John Suchand joined Cardinal Midstream Partners in February 2026 and serves as Vice President of Finance. He brings more than 20 years of energy industry experience with a focus on finance and corporate development. 

Prior to joining Cardinal, John served as Vice President at Copperbeck Energy Partners from 2017 to 2025, a Tailwater Capital–backed company providing strategic midstream and downstream‑adjacent infrastructure and services to refinery, petrochemical, and industrial customers. Before Copperbeck, John was Director of Finance at Martin Midstream Partners L.P. and Martin Resource Management Corporation, where he supported corporate development and financing efforts, including acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity raises, and capital structure and investment analysis across Martin’s diversified business segments.

Earlier in his career, John held roles at Texas American Resources Company, Cimarex Energy, and Magnum Hunter Resources. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. John and his wife live in Dallas with their two sons.
